Day 1

January 9. 2019

Well I MADE IT. Lol actually I made it through my first flight, my first layover (5 hours in Germany), and I’m currently writing this on my second and FINAL flight to Torino!!!

Ahhh! I’m so excited and can’t wait to be off this plane and into a bed in a really nice hotel! I’m am exhausted and ready for a nap. I honestly don’t know what day it is because the time difference and the layover got me. Also Frankfurt airport is HUGE. I walked from my first plane to my next plane and it literally took me 30 minutes.

Side note: airplane food is not the greatest. It’s just very odd and different, but i did enjoy the dessert (pretty sure it was a lil Debbie coffee cake) 10/10 for sure!!

But so far I’ve had good experiences with flying. It amazes me how much time is spent driving around the airport in the plane. It has taken around 30 minutes for both flights to get from where we enter the plane to take off.

Also the view from my airplane window right now is absolutely amazing. I have a beautiful view of the Appalachia Mountains and lots of land, both with towns and farmland.

I can’t wait to officially see Italy!!

Totally forgot to mention that I since I’m on the group flight I have met multiple people already! It has been so helpful to find my way through the airport and helped me feel less stressed!
