The weekend started a bit early. Since Italian is over I only have class on Monday & Tuesday, so this weekend trip began at 2:15 am on Wednesday morning. I took a bus to Milan at 3am so that I could make it to my first flight at 6am. I finally made it to Budapest around 12. Once we got to the hostel we decided to go on a quick run through town.
After the run we went to get lunch at a pizza at Local Korner. We got to pick 5 toppings for out pizza. They were so yummy! Next we walked to the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. For those that don't know what those are they are naturally heated pools. They were so relaxing. After the baths we went back to our hostel and went to bed because we were absolutely exhausted.
Thursday morning we woke up and went to a brunch at a place called Szimply - Breakfast & brunch. It was absolutely amazing. I had eggs Benedict & nutella french toast. I have missed having big breakfast especially Grandma Nehus' every Sunday (those who know are real homies)!!
Then we walked around Budapest and checked out all the cool beautiful sights such as the
Hungarian Parliament, Széchenyi Chain Bridge, and Matthias Church. The Parliament building was gorgeous.
Then we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Arriba! Taqueria. I had the best quesadilla there! It was so good!! Budapest is definitely in the running for best food! Chimney Cakes are a big thing in Budapest & in Prague and they were so good!!!
Off to Prague. When we arrived in Prague there was a beautiful sunset, the sky was all sorts of purples, pinks, oranges, and blues. It was just the start of so much beauty.
We stayed in the Madhouse hostel and I highly recommend it! I met so many friendly people and the hostel provided free breakfast & had tons of activities for its guest. They also provide dinner, which was so yummy!!!
We ended up hanging out at the hostel and then we went to a bar the first night. On Saturday we walked around Prague, we walked across the Charles Bridge to the Prague Castle and then to the John Lennon Wall. We also walked to Old Town Square and say the
Prague Astronomical Clock. We also went to the St. Vitus Cathedral & the Dancing House.
Overall it was an AMAZING weekend trip!! I loved both Budapest & Prague so much!! I definitely want to visit Prague again!!
Signing off.
