Interlaken & Zürich

Back to the absolutely gorgeous Switzerland.

Switzerland is a bit more expensive than other parts of Europe so Aida & I went grocery shopping before hand. We bought snacks and food to make dinner & breakfast. Trying to save a little money here and there cause traveling is EXPENSIVE!!!!!

Anyway first stop on this weekend’s adventure was Interlaken. Basically Interlaken is a city between two lakes! Cool name right!! It was absolutely gorgeous (even thought it was cold and rainy). We were right in the middle of the alps, pictures can’t do them justice. They are absolutely stunning.

We walked to the lakes and stood there a while admiring their beauty. I am always so amazing by how clear the water it (definitely NOT the Ohio river)!!! But seriously everywhere I go the water is just so blue, clean, & clear.

We then walked back to town & decided we needed to buy some Swiss Chocolate to each after our dinner. Once we got back to Balmer’s Hostel we too a nice nap & then made dinner. Since it was pouring rain we decided to have a movie night! We watched The Fault in Our Stars (each Countries Netflix is different so you never know what movies will be on it!! Always an exciting perk, always have something new to watch while traveling!).

The next day we decided to go to Lauterbrunnen (a city about 2-3 miles up in the mountains). Thanks to my brother-in-law, Michael, for that recommendation!!

Lauterbrunnen was breathtaking, literally, my body had to adjust to the altitude lol!!! But we walked down this super long path and saw so many waterfalls on the sides of the mountains. It was so peaceful there. So much of God’s beauty. I’m so glad we went up there! It was so glorious.

Once we got back to Interlaken it was basically time to head to our next stop on our adventure... Zürich!!!

Zürich was gorgeous. We were there for less than 24 hours so we had to explore fast. We walked around and saw the old clock tower! Then we went to a cute park that looked over the mountains. It was a beautiful day our so we just walked around in the park & along the river!!

I am so glad I had the opportunity to go the these insanely beautiful places!! I had a fun & relaxing weekend that was very much needed!!
